There was a time that MR, VRAY, GI, SSS, AO and the rest of today's essentials were nothing more than initials. The following projects are my first steps into CG and were made with 3DS MAX 2.5 on a pentium MMX running at 200 Mhz. The images on this page are the original renderings and they are posted due to their emotional value to me. ____________________________________ Greek Football My first animation, 1998 ...................................... Being inspired by the ascending course of Greek football in Europe back in 1999 I made a 30 second clip while in my senior year at school. At that time this was the biggest project I could possibly work on as far as modelling,rendering and editing goes. ____________________________________ Bibliotheca Alexandrina My first project, 1999 ................................. Mr Photis Konstantinidis,the director of the "BIBLIOTHECA ALEXANDRINA " documentary, reached me for a series of CG shots for his film. These included a flight of a phoenix over the burning ancient library of Alexandria as well as few shots of scrolls and scripts fading away representing the knowledge that was lost in that fire. Sadly, a concept of a phoenix being reborn from its ashes was abandoned. The cool thing is that I made my first buck in the industry plus the fact that my animation got 5 seconds of airtime on CNN (woohoo) :-) ____________________________________ The Discording Bakery My first short, 1999 ............................... This was supposed to be a senior class project but it ended up being MY project...The only support that I got was a few background models since the rest of the team decided not to be involved after graduation. This little task proved to be a huge learning process for me as I had to work by myself on both this short AND the BIBLIOTHECA ALEXANDRINA shots within a 2 month deadline.
